Securities Comparison Mismatch

Why does Quicken constantly mismatch securities?

Seems if the shares are the same, it gets confused even on names and symbols that are not anywhere near the same. It's never ending and often the same 2 securities shown twice in successive panels in the same session or even days later when there's been no changes to the shares.

Bank Montreal isn't even really a security, it's a market link note.

This one is really good. (UTMA account for grandson).

Typically Quicken uses the CUSIP number to match on. The CUSIP isn't a field you can edit, it's downloaded from the broker, so you might look at those CUSIP numbers to see if they are correct. If they are wrong unchecking the box next to "Matched with online security" in the "Edit Security Details" window will allow for a correction with the next download..
