What is the Best Report(s) for checking performance of Securities Purchased (Date or Date Range)

I looking for particular report and not sure if it exists.

Assume have many stocks (purchased over the years) and want to look at the investment performance of stock purchased on a particular date or date range (say stocks that were purchased last month only). Is there a report where that can be done?

It seems like I'm getting all the stocks which is not what I'm after for analyzing purposes.

The Investment portfolio views (Ctrl-U) can be customized to selected accounts and selected securities and can present a variety of different performance measures. Further, in addition to setting the more obvious "As of" date, you can set a starting date for the return calculations. (Options / Portfolio Preferences)

Among the portfolio view return measures, I prefer Average Annual Return, though it can be misleading for short term calculations. I suggest you experiment with various performance measures in those views to see exactly which ones are impacted by the starting date and which ones are not.

I think you would have to do this in two steps:

First determine what stocks to include. You could use the Investment Transaction report with the desired purchase date range. Click on the gear to include the Actions you want - presumably Bought, BoughtX, and Added. To reduce clutter, eliminate money market funds.

Then customize the Investment Performance Report to include just those securities and the desired analysis date range. Note that this report may not be very useful for periods of less than one year.

Of course this would be difficult if dozens of securities are included.

Thanks, I was thinking there might be a simple selection selection based upon purchase date that would automatically select only those securities purchase on a date or date range.

It's be nice to have it as add'l filter/selection.
