Quicken files Corrupted?

For the last several days, I have started Quicken only to find out that recent entries into my accounts have been dropped. Actually about 2 weeks worth.

I have spent some time after downloading new transactions and making sure that the On line balances agree with the Quicken balances, but, the next time that I start Quicken, the entries are missing.

Also, when I restore an earlier backup, all my accounts come in in duplicate (TD Bank Checking & TD Bank Checking 2, etc.)

I have been using Quicken for over 14 years and the problems I have had lately have been the worst in my experience — and the program is now totally useless and unreliable!!!!

    What have you done to rectify the situation? Have you tried validating your file? Supervalidating?

    Because, if your file is corrupted, Validation MIGHT fix things … but restoring from a backup might be necessary.

    I validated a restored file and got garbage as a result. Also the file log shows pages of damaged data block or record.

    For some reason, if I restore a backup file, update all the entries and then save a copy and close, the next time I upload the file it is truncated with missing entries.

    Not sure what Supervalidating is.

    Somehow it seems that I have corrupted a pointer.

    Today I restored 2 files that I had backed up on an external drive.

    Both file restored, but when I went to update them, most of my accounts showed a Needs Your Attention error (7 of 9). Also noticed that Wells Fargo uploaded first with the Online Balance matching the Quicken Balance and TD Bank CC uploaded, but balances were off.

    Quicken has become totally unworkable, and I need to find the problem!!!

    Having the same issue, user for more than 20 years. Registry being ripped apart after doing an Update. Until this gets fixed by Quicken (instead of blaming users), I won't be doing any online updates, Period. When it does get fixed and acknowledged by Quicken, I expect financial remunerations for the impact to me and my business.

    That will happen Quicken, so jump on it now and quit blaming the end user. If you aren't seeing this and doing the typical ignore, ouch on you.
