Memorized Payee List Changes
Four years later and the same of problem of Quicken making unrequested, unauthorized changes to the Memorized Payee List (MPL) are not fixed. My questions and comments in the original thread are the same today without a fix from Quicken. Original thread click here: Memorized Payee List — Quicken
Categories are removed and whether a payee appears in memorized payee calendar or not can change on its own accord without my having made the change. I sync Quicken desktop with Quicken Cloud to use the mobile app in addition to the desktop app. Your suggestions and recommendations (other than "lock the payee" because that doesn't work) as how to stop Quicken making unapproved changes to MPL would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't sync to the Quicken Cloud or use QMobile/QWeb and I don't have the issue that you describe. That probably isn't some advice you want to take, but that is my experience with using desktop Quicken for Windows.

I agree with Splasher. I find that Quicken Cloud/QMobile cause a lot of problems which includes the one you described. I have tried many times to use Quicken Cloud/QMobile and have been disappointed everytime. It is not worth the effort and have given up using them. I no longer have any issues with Quicken.

If I was going to use QMobile/QWeb, it would only be with accounts that are manually entered so that Quicken would not have the ability to download information from the FI to update the Quicken Cloud Account that holds the information for QMobile/QWeb and buttheads with the downloaded info done in the desktop and override info in the desktop.

Thank you, Splasher and crwallejr. Will be removing Quicken Mobile from my devices (phone and tablet). Not worth the time and frustration.
Hope Quicken people are up to the challenge and are able to fix this long outstanding MPL sync problem.
