Conversion of backups fail after moving to Quicken Classic
I probably have about 25 Quicken file backups. Some local, some on Dropbox.
After moving to new PC and being forced to accept Quicken Classic, the file conversion failed in the beginning of 2022. I am missing almost 3 years of data. File is 1.7GB in size. If I try to load a backup made by Quicken Deluxe and try again (file> view/restore backup), all I get is "conversion failed" without even starting.
Is there a way to delete Quicken Classic and go back to latest version of Quicken Deluxe?
I am now in a precarious state. My Quicken file dates back to 1996 and all validations and latest software was fine… until Quicken Classic. Now I have a REALLY big problem that may force me to go back to manual methods.
Anyone have any ideas??

Oh… and during the conversion of the original file under Quicken Classic, there are no error messages. It's just a file missing 3 years of data.

Quicken backups are just copies of the data file with a different extension and optionally the date and time added to the file's name.
Try taking a copy of one of the backups, renaming the copy to have a different name and a .QDF extension and then try to open it (not restoring it).
