After running the Quicken One-Step-Update, the Menu Bar line goes black.

Within the past week I noticed that the line beneath the Icons on my home screen goes black after I complete a One-Step-Update.

Before One-Step-Update:

After One-Step-Update:

I updated Quicken to the latest version (Version R59.35, Build 27.1.59.35) yesterday and it didn't correct this problem.

The only thing that will bring back that line is to close and reopen Quicken.

I am running Quicken Premier for Windows on a Dell XPS-8940 with 32GB of Memory and a 2TB SSD running the latest version of Windows 10 Pro.

I have the same problem with AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics (AMD adrenalin edition drivers) 3.80 GHz, ASRock Mini-ITX Motherboard (B450 Gaming-ITX/AC), Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1tb Windows 10 running the latest updates and drivers as of 11/23/24 Quicken subscription running (Version R59.35, Build 27.1.59.35), not running mobile or web.

Have the same problem. Running Quicken Deluxe for Windows. Can get back the accounts etc bar by clicking on the arrow on upper RHS at the very top but this bar then appears below the black bar—and the black bar appears on every account page you access. Weird and not too pleasant to view.

    Hello All,

First, please navigate to Help > Check for updates and see if you are given the option to update your program to the latest version release R60.14. If so, please install it and let us know if the issue still continues to persist after installing.

Additionally, we will also be forwarding this issue to the proper channels to have this further investigated. However, we request that you please navigate to Help > Report a problem within your Quicken program and submit a problem report with log files and screenshots attached in order to contribute to the investigation. It would also aid the investigation to include a sanitized file when submitting the problem report. A sanitized file is a data file that removes personally identifiable information so you can comfortably share this file with the Quicken team.

While you will not receive a response through this submission, these reports will help our teams in further investigating the issue. The more problem reports we receive, the better.

Please let us know once you have submitted the problem report.

    Thank you!

I have the same problem. Noticed after the last software update. When I close the Quicken window and restart the app, the black band-strip-bar goes away.

@Quicken Anja , I just checked for updates to my Quicken and I get the following message:

I am running Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (Build 19045.5198). This problem has happened with Release R59.35 and the previous Quicken Premier release.

@the3roots thank you for getting back to me with this.

Please try manually installing it instead by downloading the R60.14 manual patch found in this support article.

Let me know the outcome after that is installed! Thank you.

When I restarted the black bar went away. Hopefully it will not reappear.
