Money Markets for Schwab Accounts Still Don't Exist??
Okay, I have searched this topic several times and it appears this is a known problem that doesn't seem to have a resolution?
SWVXX money market fund via Schwab and other money market funds do NOT download via direct connect. Okay, that's an odd problem but I'll just add it manually (this includes dividends and interest income..it shows the income, but not the subsequent buy side when automatically reinvesting).
Even after I add the buys or reinvest transactions into the register it does not show up in the account. Anywhere. No matter what I do. My account balances and holdings are all way off because of this issue.
This is ridiculous. Most people hold short term reserves in their investment accounts in money market funds. Does Quicken think this does not exist? Please fix this. It's such a simple thing. Fine, don't download it, but why in the heck would it not even show up in the investment account even after adding the dang transactions manually???
Maybe I'll just get my abacus back out..

I think it's incorrect to say this is a "known problem that doesn't seem to have a resolution". It was a deliberate change by Schwab a few years ago to show core money market holdings as Cash rather than shares in a mutual fund.
The money should exist in your Schwab account; you shouldn't need to add manual transactions for SWVXX. Quicken just shows the SWVXX balance combined with any Schwab bank balance combined as "Cash" in your Quicken investment portfolio. So here in this test account, there are two securities plus a Cash line just above "Totals".
On your Schwab statement, SWVXX and Bank Sweep are shown individually, and are totaled together — so it should be simple to verify that the "Total Cash and Cash Investments" on the Schwab statement matches the "Cash" line in Quicken.
Are you saying that in your Quicken, after downloading from Schwab, you have no "Cash" line at the bottom of your portfolio?
