Bill and Income for MAC needs a transfer option

Long time windows user, new MAC user. I'm surprised the Bill and Income area does not offer transfers to listed accounts similar to the Windows package. Also the window package will populate the bill amount from the current account balance if a credit card. Again I can't find a way to do this in the MAC version. I spoke to tech support today and it'l currently not available. How can I request this as a feature in the next version?

@DougHoegh I'm doing it like this. The Account field is where the money is coming from, and the Category is where the money is going to. You might have to select the "Allow creation of linked transfers using the category field" option on the Register tab in Quicken Settings for this to work.

@DougHoegh I don't have any trouble setting up a monthly bill that transfers money from one account to another. What specifically is the Windows program doing that the Mac doesn't do (aside from automatically populating the credit card balance)?

Jon The MAC version I'm running does not offer a transfer in the Bill and Income section. And if you try to trick the system and call it a bill your internal accounts do not show up in the category list. At least that is what I have found and it was confirmed by Quicken tech support. If you are a MAC user and know a work around I would love to hear it. You can set it up as a transaction in a particular register. Is that what you are doing and not using the Bill and Income popup window?

Automatically filling in the credit card balance for a credit card bill is a requested feature that's under consideration, you should add your vote if you haven't already.

Jon Thanks for the tip. I never realized there was a category called transfer that then opened up all my various accounts. I wonder why the tech guy I was chatting with didn't know this? One question: I can't seem to cancel the split. But I can make the second line of the split equal zero. Am I missing something?

The Split button is just there if you want to do a split; if you just enter a single category there's not actually a split happening. If you do press the split button there's always going to be a blank line at the bottom until you add a second line. I don't know if it's intentional or a bug but you can just ignore it.
