Syncing is working again or me, but as others have stated it completely messed up my balance and I don't know what exactly it did, but I'm off by $2,756. 🤬 [Edited - Language]

I can confirm that as of 12/5/2024 Quicken was able to successfully connect to Schools First FCU, identify my accounts, link my accounts and download account transactions. Thank you Quicken and Schools First for resolving this issue!

@RBLeggett12 If nobody has given you any suggestions on how to fix that balance problem, here's what my experience has shown. If you've already fixed the issue, that's great.

What I've seen when this happened to me is that it messes up the opening balance/first transaction record in the account. A suggestion I've seen is to open a backup quicken file (don't restore from backup because that wipes out your 'good' file) and copy down the dates and amounts of the first transactions in each of the affected accounts. Then, re-open your 'good' quicken file that has the messed up balances and edit the first transaction to fix the amounts. That fixes things for me.

A suggestion I've seen suggested adding the opening balance date and amounts to the memo field of the first transaction in the account so you can fix the amounts if this happens again. I just went through my accounts yesterday and did that.

Thanks @algee99 for the tips. I downloaded my registry to Excel from both a backup and the current file, then did a compare of the two and found the discrepancies. It was indeed due to a change in the opening balance, as well as 1 other transaction.

I tried this morning and got all the way to 2FA, but then Quicken crashed and said it wasn't my fault. Absolute garbage. My Citi Wealth Accounts haven't been able to connect in nearly a month now. I do not understand how Quicken can suck so badly.

I tried this morning and now it's working for me again. I had to run sync and login twice as it did not grab all my SchoolsFirst accounts the first time. All is well now. Quick, create a backup!

If you have an account where 2FA has not timed out you are able to update. If you have a new account that requires 2FA the authentication is not actually triggered. It gets to the step asking you if you want to receive a text or an email. No text or email is triggered and Quicken then throws an error.

Another day, same error! Come on, Quicken, get your act together. How can I close out my year and start my taxes?!!!

I'm having this issue too, if this can't be fixed this is a deal breaker for using Quicken. Super frustrating that this issue has gone on this long with no resolution.

Dec 9 - I called both Schools First and Quicken on Nov 27 and the Quicken Rep said it appears to be a connection problem on Quicken's end. I wasn't even getting Schools First handshake with a code sent to my phone which I always have gotten for the past few years. Quicken is dragging their feet claiming when a change is made, they MUST EMAIL Schools First to see if the fix works. Wonder how many times they do that in one day?? It's been 12 days and still no results? Call Quicken and demand an extension of your subscription at no charge!! Maybe when they see how many of us are being deprived of the services we have paid for, they might get someone to actually begin solving the issue. To answer with "We are doing what we can" is not a good answer.

I might be naive, but why is this such a complex issue? It seems to be a simple matter to go back and see where the issue started and what changes to software, if any, occurred at that time, and then make the fix.

Getting tired of this not working… not acceptable for a subscription based product.

Call Quicken and complain. The only advantage to paying for the program is the downloadable feature which we haven't had since Nov 27, and there seems to be little action being taken to fix it. I complained and they gave me 2 additional months of service at no charge. If they feel it in the pocketbook, they will take action to resolve.

Tried again today , Tuesday 12/10. Still getting the message "We encountered an error, it's not your fault"

I am mystified that this can't be solved after two weeks.

A new one as of last night — still here today. This comes when I select "Try Again" on the step that should have gotten the confirmation number.

    Is this progress?

Tried again this morning 12/11/24. Same message. "Sorry. We encountered an error. It's not your fault"

I'm back to old school. Downloading the CSV file and entering transactions manually. Still don't understand why it's taking so long to fix this.

12-13-24 @ 11:15am Received a call from Schools First IT department and he advised me the system seems to be working. Checked my connection while he was on the phone and we are now working again. Not bad, only took Quicken 3 weeks? For everyone who has waited thru this outage, call Quicken. [Removed - Private Information]

As of Friday 12/13/24 it appears that Quicken and Schools first our downloading……But the reconciliation is hot mess. It's going to take a while for me to get things figured in terms of accounting.
