blue line transactions

I enter a transaction in the register and it gets a blue line above it like it is a future date, but it is dated today. If I redate the transaction to 1 week ago it will appear above the blue line. Does my Quicken think it has the wrong date?

Is your account register sorted by Date in ascending order (newest transaction at the bottom of the register) or is it sorted in descending order (oldest transaction by date)?
Look at the register's column header …
if there's a "▲" next to the word "Date" you're sorted by ascending Date
if there's a "▼" next to the word "Date" you're sorted by descending Date
If there's no triangle next to "Date", the register is sorted by some other Sort option.

To change sort order click on the column header, "Date" in this example, to toggle between ascending and descending sort sequence.

The register is sorted by date, oldest at the top most recent at the bottom.

I left the computer on and the Quicken window open while waiting for an answer, the blue line is now gone and if I enter a transaction with todays date there is no blue line. In other words it is working just fine. I have been using Quicken for 30 years, never saw this before, hopefully it won't come back. Thanks for the help.

Is the computer's clock and time correct? It being off by 12 hours could cause what you experienced.

-splasher using Q continuously since 1996
