Can Quicken pull current price on a numeric ticker?

I have Vanguard Target Retirement 2030 Trust I, with a ticker of 1466.

When I download from Voya, the price paid is around $85, and the transaction records correctly. However, Quicken thinks the price is whatever I enter in Security Detail View. It doesn't appear to be pulling the correct price during a stock quote pull.

If I pull a price history for 1466, it is all around $40, but actual is $85. "just a tad outside…"😒

So I can never get a correct valuation unless I keep fiddling in Security Detail View and editing the price. How do I get around this?

Thanks!

Is that a publically traded fund? I can't find a fund called "Vanguard Target Retirement 2030 Trust I' anywhere. What I find is "Vanguard Target Retirement 2030 Fund" Note "Trust I" is not included. This has a ticker of VTHRX and has a price around $40. The ticker 1466 does not pull up anything in Yahoo Finance or on Fidelity or Schwab.

This sounds like a private version of the Vanguard fund and thus the price will be updated when you download transactions from Voya and not from Quicken's quote feed.

In the Security List entry for this fund you should un-check the Download quotes box so that the quote provider does not try to download quotes for the publicly traded version of the fund.

Yeah, I got confused on this as well regarding the correct ticker to use. I believe it is a private fund, but was assigned 1466 by someone.

1466 can be found on Bloomberg if you have an account… which I don't. Anyway, I guess I will manually set the price now and then by trusting what they tell me it is worth (grin). So much for tracking performance!

Thanks for checking into this folks!

FWIW: I find it easier to update security prices in a portfolio view (Ctrl-U) than through the Security Details - More - Edit price history path.
