"Today" button in account registers

I have a lot of future-dated transactions in my account registers, so when I first open an account, I have to scroll backwards to get to the current dates transactions and balance. It would be helpful to have a "Today" button that when clicked, will jump to the current date in the account register. This should be in both the Windows application and the mobile app.

Are these real recorded register transactions already or are these future-dated Scheduled Reminders made to look like real register transactions?

In the latter case, you can control how many of these future instances of a reminder are to be shown in the register.
Click the little clock-icon in the upper right-hand corner of the register view and select from the available options, e.g., "Next 14 days".
