I have been downloading from Chase with two sign ons (me and spouse) for years. I had assigned most of the accounts to my sign-on and just the credit card where he is primary to his sign on. Had to restore the file from a backup yesterday (first time ever).
Now when we do one-step update, it links us to Chase and wants to link the other accounts to his sign on. The message is that the account links are lost, the message mentions this is probably because of a backup restore. You go through the "fix-it" and tell it not to add the accounts. It then just breaks the link again.
We fix it under his sign -on (be telling Quicken to ignore those accts). W'hen we go back to my sign -on all links are broken again. If I restore them using my sign on - they appear as broken when he signs-on. Quicken should not even be talking to these accts when he is signing on.
I see someone had this problem after a restore in April 2023 and was not able to resolve it. Is this file now broken forever, because it's a restore from backup with two users for an account?
Hard to believe that Quicken cannot fix this problem. Been using it for 20 years and now it's become impractical because of my using the restore function!!
