Quicken Crashes when trying to setup online banking with Citi Double Cash Card
I have been dealing with this problem more than 8 months now. I talked to Support on the phone and was told this was a known issue and asked me to wait for the fix. After multiple Quicken updates this issue still not resolved.
I even tried to use a new Quicken file with no other accounts in the file, the problem still happens.
I have been doing manual transaction download to sync my account for so many months. How is this acceptable?

@Pong Ching - What you describe is a symptom that is different from what most others generally report but maybe it is caused by an issue that causes the download authorization process to not complete properly. For me, Quicken used to sometimes (not often) shutdown when an EWC+ download connection setup/authorization process did not complete properly. (Yes, Citi uses the EWC+ connection method.)
It might be a longshot but it would be worth trying. Since I have been following this process I have not experienced any issues with successful EWC+ connection setup/authorization.:
- Temporarily disable all extensions in your default browser.
- Make sure your default browser's Privacy setting is not set to Strict. If it is, temporarily set it to Standard.
- Try doing Add Account and follow the prompts to authorize Citi to download your account to Intuit (the aggregator). (You did not say which Add Account financial institution you are trying to use. I suggest you start with Citi Cards and if that does not work try using Citibank or Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi. FYI…the Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi works with many different Citi cards, not just with Costco.)
- When this process is done, you can restore you browser extension and browser Privacy settings to what they were.
