Online backup for two companies

I have used Quicken since 2007 and decided to start a new company file. I do not want to archive my old file as there are many old accounts from years ago, and I do not want to bring those asset balances over. I want a clean, fresh start.

As of 1/1/2025, I planned on starting the new company. My question is regarding the two companies I will now have. Do I have to backup both companies with the new Quicken online backup feature, one at a time?

Thanks

Steven

Quicken backup only backups the currently open file, so to backup the two different files, it will require two backups.

A comment about your "two" companies perception. Unless you are starting a completely new and different company in real life, they are still the same company, just the records of one company stored in two Quicken data files divided based on a point in time.
