No payee column available on Itemized Category report
I have read several posts about this here in the community but I just don't see any way to get a payee column on the itemized category report. I need this for my tax reports for rental properties. There is no checkbox for payee in the list of report columns.

The Payee should appear in the Description column.
The column is called Description in reports because for some investing transactions it is auto-filled with the security name and number of shares.

Thanks Jim, but… I looked through all of the report options, and I don't see how to get a column called "Description".

OK I got it. There was no option showing for a description column. I hit the "reset" button at the bottom of the option for columns and it appeared. No idea why it was not there. Thanks.

Click on the gear at the top right of the report to customize it. Description should be listed among the columns. If not, click on Reset Columns and that should restore it. Check the box to include it in the report.
