Average Annual Return (%) YTD not updating

I have 2 stocks in my portfolio, Nvidia and TSMC, both of which show "NA" for Average Annual Return (%) YTD. I have seen this kind of thing before if any transactions occurred in the stock after the new year, but there has been no activity on either account. As you can see from the image here, ROI (%) YTD is calculating fine. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it a bug?

it is probable that this early in the year, the AAR value extrapolates to too large a value to be relevant - something like an annualized 1000%. Give it a few more days.

The AAR is annualized and includes compounding. For a security that is up 7.58% as of 1/3, about 1% of the year, that would be more than 758% for the year. Quicken shows N/A if the returns will be ridiculously high or low.

If you want to see a reasonable YTD performance in the Avg. Annual Return (%) YTD column, you can set the As of date to 12/31/2025. This assumes that the performance will be flat for the rest of the year.

@Jim_Harman interesting thanks! I am not aware of that and don't see it, how do I change the "As of" date for Average Annual Return (%) YTD? Thank you!

EDIT: I think I found it - Options/Portfolio preferences….but I change that, and nothing on the report seemed to change in that column…?

In the Investing > Portfolio views, it is the date to the left of the Customize button at the top of the screen, next to "As of:"

If you go to an Investing account and click on Holdings, it is the date at the top right.

You must hit Enter after making a change for it to take effect. You will notice that the "Industry/Category" numbers do not change when you change the date. That is because that data is downloaded and Quicken does not store the historical values.
