On Customized Investment Fields/Columns Need more clarification on Some Fields
Investments>Portfolio>Custom Views
So can get the necessary add'l meaningful views/reports.
Like a couple changes.
- Ability to add data range vs just an ending date.
- Filters - include only securities purchase and/or sold and/or dividend/income during the data range or default all. I may want to look at closed sales only during the last year, all time, or
- Some of the fields need add'l clarification on the pop up when hovering over them and maybe in the title. For instance - "Income" field - is this for last 12 months, YTD, or all time income, or something else? Same with "Return" and "ROI" field.
Think it's important to be able to put a start date as mentioned in item1.
4. Like to be able to have my custom report put on the investment register>holdings (reports). They seem the same but can't modify on the investment register.

- In the Portfolio views, you can set a starting date for performance calculations by clicking on Options at the top right, then Portfolio preferences. This date applies to all your Portfolio pages. It is stored and persists even if you restart Quicken.
- The answer to this has not changed since you posed the same question in October. There is no easy way to do it, and it is not clear how it would work.
- I agree more information is needed on the column headings. See these articles for more information
- The Holdings view is intended as a quick overview of the securities in your account and is not as customizable as the Portfolio views.

Thanks Jim - Being able to at least put a beginning date helps.
I will look at the links you provided.
Have alot going on and looking at some of the figures with these columns were throwing me off.
Wish Quicken was just consistent - Like dates on what you provided. Almost everywhere else, on the main drop down you put customise so you can put starting/ending dates, last year, last 12 months, etc.0
