Allow Users to Select Any Account Type

Users should be able to select "Brokerage" and "Retirement" as an account type. For example, I have a checkbook IRA. The funds in the checking account and savings account associated with the IRA are retirement funds. However, Quicken will now allow me to select "Retirement" as the account type so tyhey are stuck in the Checking and Savings sections of the register toolbar. I would like to be able to group all my retirement accounts, despite whether they are checking or savings accounts, in the Retirement section of the register toolbar.

Does TOOLS, Account List, clicking Edit adjacent to the account, clicking Display Options and setting the "Account Intent" not do what you want?

    If not, please explain why.

There’s no such thing as “Account Intent” on the Mac.

Accounts are automatically grouped based on the account type, and the developers have indicated that is unlikely to change in the future. If I’m not mistaken they have said at some point we will get the ability to reorder accounts within the groups, but probably nothing more than that.
