How to Update online banking connections
Hello, This is my first post with Quicken. I need to update my connections to a brokerage and investment accounts. I cannot delete the old account and create a new connection as I can not loose any transactions. So I need to be able to edit the connection parameters. I'm running MACOS Sonoma 14.6.1 with Quicken V7.10.1.
Thank you
Dave

Click on the account you wish to change, and click Settings on the bottom menu bar or select Accounts > Settings from the menu. Click on the Downloads tab. Here you can click on Disconnect Account. If you have more than one account at the same financial institution, you should probably disconnect them all. Then select an account and go to Settings > Download again, and now click Connect Account. Once you select the financial institution and enter your login credentials, Quicken should offer you a choice of creating this asa. new account or linking to an existing account; you want the latter.
Note that disconnecting an account from downloading will not affect the existing transactions in your data file. Nonetheless and just in case, I'd suggest making a backup just before you make these changes, just in case you or Quicken mess something up. 😂
