Fidelity Investments OL-297-A Download Issue

In the beginning of Dec. 2024, I started receiving OL-297-A error while trying to download my Fidelity Data to the lastest version of Quicken. All other investment account downloads worked normally. Fidelity was the only Direct Connect Account. Continued trying to download data over the next four or five weeks in case there was some kind of a server problem or someone else would find a fix. Coincidentally, at the same time, I had a problem of not being able to activate my new version of TurboTax. Since they are separate companies, I did not even think anything was connected. The TurboTax customer support could not help. They told me to call to Microsoft because they thought Windows 10 Professional was the problem, although I use Norton for my firewall. Temporarily disabled the firewall to see if anything changed, no joy.
Searched the discussion groups online, both Quicken and Turbo Tax. Notice that Intuit and Quicken still have a software interconnection relationship so perhaps software security changes may affect both. Problem was between the TurboTax software interconnection to Intuit and the Quicken software interconnection to Intuit. Moved my investigation outward from computer. I live in the mountains and my only internet is through a cellular modem which is hardwired to a wireless router which of course I set up myself. Routers come with their own MAC address but have an option for using a connected computer's MAC address.
So by process of elimination, or the old shotgun at the barn door, approach, I changed the router address to the same as my computer and restarted the router. Low a behold, I could not only reactivate my Fidelity account and download my data, but I was able to login to my Intuit account though TurboTax and activate my new software download.
Not definitive coming from someone who, admittedly does not know what he is doing most of the time, retired, but it might be a place to start if you have similar issues.
