Is there a way in Quicken Classic to change a report heading, e.g."Balance Sheet" to "Statement of Financial Activity"?

    I beg to differ …

A report's title can be modified in Quicken for Windows.
Once modified you can save the report and later execute it again.

Here, the Transaction report was run. Clicking "Customize" you open up the customization dialog where the report's title can be changed.
After exiting the customization dialog the report's title shows the change, e.g., to "My Transaction Report".

When exiting from the report Quicken will prompt you to save the report's customization settings for future use.

Please note: What you cannot do is to make the changed title the default for all future executions of the report, whether customized or not.
You can also not add additional title lines, e.g., to include the company name as default on all reports, whether customized or not.

No - other than copying the report to Excel and changing it there, with all the other related formatting changes necessary.

OR, if you've got an available PDF editor, you can print the Balance Sheet to PDF and then edit the report. At least this way you only need to change the title of the report.
