Paypal CC-601 Error

Have been getting the CC-601 error for Paypal whenever I do a download.

The error states that it cannot find a non-zero balance or with any transactions in the last 12 months, but the Online Balance actually changes to the wrong actual balance after a download.

When I reset the account, the Online Balance posts correctly (no CC-601 error), but no transactions are downloaded with it. The next day when I download, I get the CC-601 error and the Online Balance changes to the wrong balance again.

So, even though the error states that it cannot find anything, it is changing the Online Balance.

Have reported this error 2X but it still persists.

    Hello @knute97,

    I can confirm internally that this issue is a CP_SCRIPT_ERROR, which is generating the CC-601 error you are seeing in Quicken. This typically occurs when something on the bank's end is blocking Quicken from connecting.

    I recommend taking a moment to review this support article regarding error CC-601 for more information.

    As noted in the article, if the error persists for more than 24 hours, we recommend reaching out to Quicken Support directly for further assistance, as it may require escalation.

    This error has been happening for weeks and I already have reached out to Quicken Support 2 times!!

    I'm sorry to hear you reached out to Quicken Support twice and they were unable to resolve the issue. What method did you use when you contacted them? Did you reach out by phone or by chat? Did you get ticket numbers from your contacts with Support?

    If you reached out by a different method, could you please provide more details how you reached out?

    The problem was reported thru the link in the Quicken program "Report a problem through Quicken"

    The report a problem function is not the same as contacting Support directly. These reports are reviewed daily to track multiple reports of the same trending issues and/or for troubleshooting/escalation purposes. When multiple reports of the same issue are received, those reports are also investigated further. Reports that can be replicated or verified are then submitted as tickets to the proper channels.

    I have been having this exact same issue now for weeks. Last downloaded transaction was 1/8/25. Is there a fix yet?
