Reports show variance for period over period

I want to create reports that show the variances/changes period over period. Right now I have to export reports to excel and create my own variance column.

Comparison reports do include variance/change columns (amount and percentage). Does that not provide what you're asking for?

The only report type which doesn't do this is Net Worth, because the basic Net Worth report is at one date in time, and Net Worth by Month/Quarter/Year typically show more than two columns of data, so a variance wouldn't really work. So the only place I could see a need for something you can't do currently is if you wanted to compare Net Worth between two consecutive months/quarters/years. Is that the specific thing you're looking for? Are there other reports where you want to see a variance column?

@mhowell Would you be okay if we edit the title and text of your original Idea post to reflect that what you're wanting is a net worth comparison report which shows the variance between two dates? (I'd vote in favor of a report like that. 😀)
