Dear Quicken,

Please add the Investment Partnership and all other alternative investment tracking options to the Mac version of Quicken. Apparently you have added this feature for Windows users and left Mac users with no reliable way to track our investments in LPs and other alternative investments.

@AbbyH I'm not fully familiar with how this was implemented in Quicken Windows, but could you spell out what tracking capabilities you're looking for that you can't currently do in Quicken Mac? You can create a custom security to represent the partnership, and manually enter transactions for your initial investment, subsequent investments or withdrawal of capital, dividends paid, etc. You can manually enter the current value of your investment from whatever information you receive in a statement or information from whoever is managing the investment partnership. So your Portfolio can show the current value of your investment and your gain or loss on the investment.
