how to track dividends in a brokerage account

I have a taxable investement account at Fidelity Investments.
The sweep account is called "Fidelity Government Money Market".
When a dividend is paid, it appears to categorize as "_Div". However, those amounts don't appear in an Income and Spending report.
How can I fix that?

By "Income and Spending" do you actually mean "Income and Expense"? OR, is "Income and Spending" a customized report that you created and saved?
In the report itself, have you clicked the Gear icon in the upper right corner, clicked Categories and made sure that _DivInc (the actual action for dividends received) is checked for inclusion?
Because I ran "Income & Expense" just now and it faithfully pulled in my YTD dividends, interest and Realized Gains.

Customize the report to include the taxable investment account. Most of those spending-type reports default to not include investment accounts. Be aware that by including the account(s) in the report, you may see other income beyond dividends and other expenses, that you might not be expecting.

Of course the accounts are included in the report.
What is not included in the report is the _Div category.-1 -

After I read your response, I created a fresh new report of Income/Expense by Category. Every account, category, payee, and tag is enabled. "Include transactions with any category" is selected. In particular, a category named "Dividend Income" is enabled. It worked perfectly, just like you described.
Then, I compared every setting in the working report to the settings in the old report and I'm unable to find any differences.
I guess I will just have to re-create the custom report from scratch. Thanks for you help.
