Duplicate entries after download (Q Mac)

I use a Mac. macOS 15.3.1. Quicken Version 8.0.1 (Build 800.56243.100)
About every fourth download of transactions on my credit card (and only my credit card account), a dozen or so of the most recent transactions duplicate ones that had formerly been cleared during my reconciliation between the bank and my Quicken data. These cleared transactions were always reconciled and marked as cleared a day or two before.
But the 10 or 12 show up after the download are marked as not cleared. Therefore, my balance in Quicken does not match the online balance at the bank. It can be over $1000.00 off.
I then have to manually search for the duplicates, matching amounts and payees. One at a time!
Trying to see a check mark in a blue shape on top of the blue highlight of the line in question just adds that little bit of irritation to spice my day.
This labor-saving application doesn't .

Do you open your file on more than one machine? Have you seen the prompt by Quicken that your cloud account needs to be reset? If so, that can definitely cause this issue.
That said, to make the search for duplicates a bit easier, make sure you have the Status column displayed in the register (that's the one with the black dot a the top). Then on each download, mark the transactions as Reviewed to get rid of the blue dot in that column. On the next download, only the new transactions will have the blue dot and you can more easily look at just these to look for duplicates.

It can also be caused if your financial institution is inept. Every downloaded transaction has a unique ID code (the Financial Institution Transaction Identification number, or FITID) — a column you can make visible (temporarily) in your register or view if you open the View > Show Inspector window after clicking on a transaction. The key is that each transaction is assigned a unique number by the bank, and they never change it, because that is what Quicken uses to detect which downloaded transactions are duplicates and which are new. If the financial institution generates a new FITID number for a previous transaction, then Quicken sees it as new rather than a duplicate. So the next time this happens, try checking the FITID number for two duplicate transactions to see if they are different; if so, it's your financial institution that's screwing up in generating its downloads.
