Account Balances in Report DONOT MATCH Account Balances in Quicken

I am seeing a lot of similar Reports, but with little explanations as to what is going on.
HOWEVER, in my case, it is simple: I have 5 bank accounts and 9 brokerage accounts.
On the bank accounts, The account balances on the Report match all of the account balances on the registers in Quicken (and correctly match my bank statements).
HOWEVER, on the brokerage accounts, 3 of the 9 brokerage accounts balances on my Report do not match those displayed with the account registers in Quicken.
The account balances in Quicken MATCH Exactly with the brokerage accounts themselves.
The same numbers are just now being carried forward to the Reports.
I run these reports weekly and that have always been accurate, to the penny.
And this same problem was there last week.
So, what is going on Quicken. This appears to be a simple error, quickly fixable.

AND A FOLLOW-UP COMMENT - JUST A FEW MINUTES LATER.
I am getting the CORRECT account balances CORRECTLY moved to another of my Reports - and I might mention, these are Net Worth Reports.
Anyway, they are the same report EXCEPT one is based on an "Earliest to Date" and the 2nd is based on specific Beginning and End (TODAY) date. It is almost funny because I intentionally set up these reports as a "check" on Quicken - and they have always (for years) matched - EXCEPT today, one is correct and the other not.
So, this is some sort of anomaly - same Report (both showing "Report Balances as of 3/1/2025), except for how the reporting period was set up - yet one pulling the correct balance from the registers and the other not.
So, ponder that one Quicken - and please fix whatever is going on. I have been running these reports weekly for years now, and have never seen/had this problem before.

OK - SORRY GUYS - BEGINNING TO UNDERSTAND - REPORTS DO NOT JUST PICK UP THE ACCOUNT BALANCES
- IT DEPENDS ON THE DATES BEING USED IN THE REPORTSSo, the other explanations of what is happening, based on me using "Earliest to Date" reports and the Beginning and End (Today) dates COULD be different - but have been for many years now.
So, Quicken - Your changed something - so change it back.
AND P.S. - maybe Close this Post/Thread out (and no need to reply) - better threads are being carried on elsewhere.
Sorry for the confusion.ron in shawnee

@Ron n Round Rock - This is an interesting one. Not sure I've every heard of this issue before.
The only thing that comes to mind is that at some point in the past some Placeholders were entered into your investment accounts. Placeholder values will be included in the account register making it look like the account register is correct but it really is not. But Placeholder values will not be included in reports so there can be a discrepancy between the account register and the report provided the Placeholder date is within the date range of the report.
Placeholders can also cause ending account balance discrepancies between two iterations of the same report when each report has a different date range and the Placeholders are included in the date range of one report but not in the date range of the other. For example, if a Placeholder is dated 13 months ago it will throw off true the ending balance in an earliest-to-date report. But that same report when the date range is for the last 12 months will show the correct ending balance because the Placeholder is dated before the last 12 months.
Do you see any Placeholders in your investment accounts? If they are old Placeholders you might need to scroll backward through the register to find them.
If you have Placeholders you should also see a Placeholders tab beneath the account register. Click on that to see the list of Placeholders.
If you do not see any Placeholders or do not see the Placeholders tab, go to olders: Go to Edit > Investments > check the box for Show Hidden Transactions > OK. Then go back to the account register. Do you see any Placeholders in the account register and/or in the Placeholder tab below the register now?
