"New" Customized Reports dialog?

Member ✭✭✭

Am I missing something or did you just shrink the dialog and make the text smaller?

If your migrating to a new GUI library to improve the overall product - I applaud your effort. If true though, either you got robbed or don't know how to use it.

How is this an improvement? Was this something in the suggestions feed that got allot of votes? How did you justify this change?

From its title, this appears to be a report that you have customized and saved.

What version of Quicken are you running? Do you see this same issue with the built-in reports? Generally the new interface provides more room to enter things like long or deeply nested Categories.

Also I don't recognize the wrench at the top right of the title bar in your screenshots.

Here is what I am seeing in QWin R60.20 along with the size on my screen:

old 7 5/8 in (about 705 pixels) wide:

    new 8 7/8" (about 820 pixels) wide:

Ah, I think I see now. I'm running at 4k and Scaling of 150%. Also, in Quicken settings - View/Large Fonts

Some combination of that makes the 'older' dialog resize based on one of the settings above. The new dialog apparently ignores all of those settings. If the rest of the application is migrating in that direction, that's sad and a step backwards.

When using the "scaling override" discussed below, you should be able to run without using Tools / Large Fonts.

Font size in register labels — Quicken

… theoretically. Please let us know if that works.

@UKR - I tried that years ago - and again just now since it's been so long - no difference.

Using any of those settings - without large fonts - yields an account list with "tiny" fonts. So I use large fonts which also improves the toolbar but makes the register font too large. Fortunately there's a setting for the register font. I set that to 8 and then all fonts are just fine…..

….except for these "improved" dialogs like Customize Reports. It's all shrunk and ignores application and system DPI settings.

The screen shots I posted originally are magnified in the forum so they're both quite legible. On my screen the dialog and fonts are noticeably smaller.

In that case, try switching back to the old interface and contact Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation to report this issue, specific to your hi-res monitor.
