Networth Report - Exclude Unrealized Gains

Hi,

I would like to ask for an enhancement where Unrealized Gains can be excluded from the NetWorth reports. There is no way to do this in the current version of the product and it hinders calculating Balance Sheets accurately, with unrealized gains included in the report by default.

Pls consider this as an immediate request!

Some reports (Category Summary reports, for instance) already have an option on the Advanced tab whether or not to include unrealized gains. It looks like the Advanced tab is not available for Net Worth reports; hopefully it won't be too difficult to add that.

@ramesh.baanu Just so you understand Quicken's feature development process, there is no such thing as an "immediate request". Ideas here need to gather enough votes before they are sent to the development team for consideration. Then they are evaluated for usefulness and time required to build the feature, and if they get the green light at that stage, they get added to the development calendar. Since there are hundreds of feature requests, it's unusual to see a feature Idea here become a reality in less than a couple years — unless it's something the developers may already have in their plans.

In the meantime, can you get the values you want from the Portfolio view? When you click on Investing (or Brokerage or Retirement) in the left sidebar, click on the Portfolio tab, and set the filters to Portfolio Value and By Account, you can view a column in the table for Cost Basis, which is the market value minus unrealized gains. If you ned this in a report you'll need to export the Net Worth report and Portfolio to .csv files so you can merge this data in a spreadsheet — but it should get you what you want.

If you don't mind me asking, I'm just curious why you want a personal balance sheet which doesn't use the market value of your investments?
