"Transaction Recorded" - pop-up - how to suppress?

When I work through uncategorized transactions in a register, a confirmation window pops up for 2-3 seconds on EVERY transaction I enter/edit. I want to have it suppressed, but don't see a way to do it. It needs a "Don't show again" checkbox! How can I submit this as a feature request? QuickenforMacUser

There are no Idea categories for Quicken on the Mac - so…. it's here.

@ajweigl Could you explain further how you work through uncategorized transactions in a register that produces this dialog box? And can you post a screenshot of the dialog box you get? I don't believe I've ever seen one; I just edited two uncategorized transactions in a register, then they saved like any other transaction entered or edited, with no pop-up dialog box. So I'm trying to understand where/why you're encountering this. Thanks.

P.S. In the future, to create an Idea post for Quicken Mac, just navigate to Product Ideas > Ideas for Mac Classic…

…and then select one of the dozen sub-categories.

I have the same issue. The popup really slows down the process of categorization. There definitely needs to be a way to suppress it.

@mmcnabb In the screenshot you've shared, you have filtered for Uncategorized transactions. When you edit each transaction to categorize it, upon saving the transaction, Quicken is informing you that the transaction is saved but no longer visible in the current view — because the screen is showing uncategorized transactions and the one you just edited is now categorized.

There are a couple ways I can think of to avoid this annoyance.

Instead of filtering for Uncategorized transactions, clear the filter an instead Search for "uncategorized". When you edit each transaction and give it a category, there is no pop-up message and you can quickly continue down your list. Unlike the Uncategorized filter, a Search doesn't refresh after each transaction is saved.

But a possibly eve-faster approach is to take advantage of the Dashboard card for uncategorized transactions. Click on Home > Dashboard, and locate the Uncategorize Transactions card. (If you don't know this, you can re-arrange the Dashboard cards in whatever order you want, so if this is something you do often, you could drag this car to the upper left or anywhere in the top row of card.) This Dashboard card is built to (a) quickly show you any uncategorized transactions without searching for them, and (b) give you a quick way to categorize them. When you hover your cursor over one of the transactions in the card, you'll see it runs blue and a "Click to Categorize" line pops yp:

Click on "Click to Categorize" and a Category entry field pops up, where you can type a few letters of the category and select it from the dropdown menu. Press Return and the transaction is saved with the category and it disappears from the list so you can keep categorizing the top transaction in the list. (If you suspect you've made a mistake, or just want to see what category you applied, scroll to the bottom of the list and you'll see a Recently Categorized Transactions heading followed by all the transactions you have categorized during this session.) You can even click on the category and change it if you realize you selected the wrong one.

This is the fastest way to find and fix all your uncategorized transactions.
