Re quicken and citibank authorization for automatic download

Quicken Windows Subscription Member

I have two citbank credit card accounts - one in my name and one in my husband's name. All was working well until about 2 or 3 weeks ago and i had to reauthorize my card. When I did that he de-authorized my husband's card. When I re-authorize his card, it de-authorizes my card. They have different numbers and log ins. How do i fix this?

Many have reported issues with using two different EWC+ reauthorizations in the same data file. They are not the only financial institution with this issue and I've never seen a definitive reason for it but I'm guessing that their reauthorization process allows for only one security token per data file.

What some have done to get around this issue is to use different Citi download setups for each account holder. To do this:

    1. Do not use Set Up Now.
    2. Instead, use Add Account.
    3. For your card you could use the Citibank option.
    4. For your husband's card you could try using the Citi Cards or Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi option. (The Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi option works with many Citi credit cards, not just with the Costco card).
    5. Or if #3 and/or #4 don't work for you, you could try reversing whose card uses Citibank and whose card uses the other Add Account option.

If this does not work, you could to check with Citibank to see if one of you can have your online account set up with at least read access to the other person's card. Then maybe you can download both cards using just your reauthorization set up.
