All transactions download in error

If I have to restore a backup file & I go to update the accounts, Quicken will import ALL the transactions for accounts going back several years!!! This has happened several times & I have to manually go into the download area & delete ALL the duplicate transactions downloaded since there is not an option to delete the entire downloaded transactions. Can this please be fixed or give us the option to select a date range to download!!

Hello @mriv01,
I understand how frustrating it must be to restore a backup and then have Quicken re-download years’ worth of transactions, forcing you to manually delete duplicates.
This issue often occurs because when a backup is restored, Quicken may not recognize which transactions have already been downloaded, leading to everything being pulled again from the financial institution. Unfortunately, there is no built-in option to set a date range for downloads, but I’d like to gather more details to explore possible solutions.
When you restore the backup and update your accounts, are the transactions marked as new, or does Quicken recognize some as duplicates? Have you noticed whether this happens with all financial institutions or just certain ones? Before restoring, does the backup file contain all recent transactions, or do you find gaps that might trigger Quicken to re-download everything?
Let me know what you’re seeing, and I’ll be happy to assist further.

Hello @Quicken Jasmine When I restore the backup & update the accounts some are marked as Matched & some are marked as New. Can't figure out any specific reason for this. It has happened with multiple financial institutions (Chase , Amex etc). And yes before restoring the file is current with the most recent transactions posted & cleared. There really is no clear indication why this is happening but it really should be addressed. Thanks
