For the third day, I've received CC-501 errors on several accounts (always the same accounts): American Express, Chase Visa, Costco Anywhare Visa Card by Citi and Paypal.

Quicken for Classic Premier (up to date) for Windows, Windows 11.

    Hello @Pumphouse,

We appreciate you reaching out regarding this issue.

I took the liberty of reviewing your account, but I am not seeing any internal errors occurring for these financial institutions.

So to start with, I suggest you try signing out of your data file completely and then signing back in to refresh the registration token for your Online Connected Services. However, I do recommend that you first save a backup file prior to performing these steps.

    1. Navigate to Edit
    2. Preferences...
    3. Quicken ID & Cloud accounts
    4. Click Sign in as a different user (or it might say Sign in using a different Quicken ID) image.png
    5. Follow the prompts to Sign Out
    6. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password

Once that is done please perform a new One Step Update.

If the error still persists after doing so, please submit a Problem Report with log files attached via Help > Report a problem.

Let us know how it goes!

Thank you! That worked a treat. No errors and some new transactions in the accounts.

Ugh, the problem came back today. So I repeated the sequence you suggested and did a couple of one-step updates. They seemed to work. If this happens again I will use

    Help > Report a problem

    .

    as you suggest.

I think I know what triggers this problem. My credit union puts up a Quicken Windows prompt for 2FA that offers two choices: "Push Authentication" or "Google Authenticator". If you choose "push", the credit union app prompts on my phone. If I answer "Yes it's me", Quicken puts up another prompt which wants me to select "yes" if I answered on the phone.

If I get distracted and take too long in this complicated sequence, things go pear-shaped as I describe above. Maybe a timeout?

If I pick "Google Authenticator" there is no second prompt and things go smoother. (It doesn't have to be Google Authenticator, I use LastPass Authenticator and that works fine.)
