    Get one new WHAT? You don't need a 2nd copy of Q, because you can already install it on multiple PC's

    And, you shouldn't need a 2nd copy of Q, because you really should keep all of your family's finances in a single Q data file … so that at year-end you've got the consolidated info for your tax returns?
