Standard Transaction Report

After the last software update, the Transaction report seems buggy. If I try to create a report straight from the Report menu with a filter on some Tags, it seems to apply an additional filter on a random specific account, even if all accounts are selected. However, if I create the report without any filters, and then apply the same Tag filter after the report was created, it seems to work fine.

    Hello @GTmem,

Thanks for sharing this — that definitely sounds frustrating, and I appreciate the detailed observations.

To help us get a better understanding and narrow things down a bit, does this behavior occur consistently every time you create a report with a Tag filter directly from the Reports menu, or is it intermittent? Are you noticing this happening with specific tags or accounts, or does it seem to vary? If possible, could you test whether the issue happens with a brand-new tag as well? Lastly, have you made any recent changes to your tag or account setup — like renaming tags or adding new accounts — prior to noticing this behavior?

Thanks again for the insight — I’ll do my best to help get to the bottom of it!

It happens every time. The issue seems to relate to transactions where the Tag is in a split. I have not made any changes to my Tags and was using the same report before the last update.

"was using the same report before the last update."

If you're accepting updates as Quicken rolls them out, then the last update might be the source of the problem. As a test, you might simply "roll back" to the update just before the last one and see if that fixes things. Rolling back is as simple as downloading the "patch" associated with the previous update.
