Lock on memorized payee list is not working for me

Unless I don't understand how "lock" is supposed to work, it does not seem to work for me. Most of my payees are locked and are 50/50 splits. Every time I enter these transactions the split amount updates. This is especially frustrating because if a split transaction is not "even" then it will not split 50/50 anymore. It uses the "new" amounts to split the amount and it is always wrong.
My other settings for QuickFill… could any of these settings be overwriting the "Lock" setting?

To investigate further and attempt to replicate the behavior, I’d like to gather a few additional details:
- Does this happen with specific split transactions, or is it affecting all split transactions that have locked payees?
- When did you first notice this issue began?
- Could you please provide a few examples of transactions where this is occurring?
