What Quicken tax category should be used for Net Investment Income Tax?

I cannot find form 8960 in the list of Quicken tax categories. I want to include the Net Investment Income tax from my tax return, which is found on Form 8960, line 17. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, what tax category is best to use? Thank you.

Quicken does not have a Category or Tax Line Item for NIIT but it is calculated and included in the Other taxes and Credits section of the Tax Planner.

Thank you, Jim. You are always so helpful. What category do you suggest I use to capture in Quicken?

Since the tax is computed based on your modified adjusted gross income and investment income, there is not an easy way to assign it a Quicken Category, any more than there is a Category for the tax on earned income, capital gains or other portions of the federal income tax you owe.

I suppose after you have computed your federal tax for the year using your tax software, you could break down the total amount due into subcategories, but it would not help in filing your taxes.
