Find and Replace Default

Whenever I use Find and Replace the default search variable comes up as Payee. I thought the default was 'Any Field'. Even if I change the search to Any Field and close Find and Replace Payee comes up when I open Find and Replace again. I have the little box making Any Field Box the default checked.

Can anyone provide insight?

I, too, am seeing this. Checking the box for Any Field default, clicking Reset, changing the drop-down to Any Field, closing and reopening Find and Replace and closing and reopening Quicken did not resolve the issue. It was observed with 3 different data files this morning.

I updated to R62.16 yesterday afternoon and this morning was the first time I opened Find and Replace since then. Yesterday morning, when I was still running R61.20, I used Find and Replace and Any Field was still present. So, it seems for me that something in R61.21, R62.14 or R62.16 is perhaps the cause of this.

I am reporting it to Quicken via Help > Report a Problem and will reference the URL for this discussion thread in the report. It would be helpful if you do so, as well.

I am using Quicken Deluxe R62.16 and when I check the "Any Field" default box, the Find dropdown box defaults to "Any Field" no matter what I change it to, or how I close the window box. I have also closed and reopened Quicken and the default "Any field" still doesn't change.

I only report this to show that the issue might not be across the board.

Yeah, this issue does not appear to be universal, nor consistent. I just opened a 4th data file and it defaulted to Date, not Payee nor Any Field. Checking the default box for Any Field, closing/reopening Find and Replace as well as Quicken did not change the default to Any Field. But after doing 3 searches in Find and Replace did the trick and Any Field then became the default.

So, something is not right. It's a nuisance issue, not a critical issue, but it should be reported anyway.
