Meriwest Credit Union on-line banking domain name change breaks Quicken downloads

Meriwest has just changed it's domain name to https://www.mymeriwest.com/. Because of this, Quicken is no longer able to connect to download transactions. When I attempted to reestablish on-line access, I get the following from Quicken.

I have opened a ticket with Meriwest about this, and am waiting for their reply. I'm writing this so you know of the problem, and hopefully will work with Meriwest to resolve this quickly.

Thanks,

Tim

    Hello @Tim Johnson,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about the issue with Meriwest’s domain change — and I’m sorry for the trouble it's caused with your downloads.

When a financial institution updates its online banking URL, they also need to notify and work directly with our connectivity team to update the information in Quicken. Unfortunately, we can't make those changes on their behalf.

You're absolutely doing the right thing by contacting Meriwest directly. In the meantime, if you'd like more information about how this process works, you can refer to the section titled "How can I fix an incorrect Homepage URL?" in this support article: https://www.quicken.com/support/quicken-uses-incorrect-url-online-banking/

Appreciate you keeping us in the loop, and we hope Meriwest gets this resolved quickly!

    Hi Jasmine,

My original issue of Meriwest's change of domain name has been resolved. However, there remains an issue which appears to be just with Quicken. I needed to establish an on-line connection with Meriwest for a new account to download transactions for a new CD. The Quicken error message which I noted in my original post is still happening. However, this is not unique to Meriwest. I get the same error when I try to establish a connection to ANY of the financial institutions that Quicken supports access to. I've seen this on several occasions in the past, but the issue seems to have arisen again. Hopefully this can be fixed soon.

    Thanks,

    Tim

    Thank you for your reply,

I'm glad to hear part of the issue is resolved.

To assist with the other part of the issue, please provide more information. At what point in the add account process are you encountering the error message? When you see the error, does clicking the Reload button help at all? If you haven't done so already, you may want to review this article on connection issues, and see if any of the recommendations help resolve the problem:

    Thank you!

Somehow my earlier reply today has disappeared.

This morning I again tried to create a Meriwest account in Quicken to track transactions in the newly created CD. This time, I was successful. I don't know what changed, but Quicken worked the way I'd expected it to. So, this last issue I had has now been resolved. Thank you all for your patience and suggestions.
