Retirement account dividends included in taxable income in Investment Income report

This discussion was originally posted in 2022. It was closed as 'solved'. Apparently, the issue has returned. IRA accounts don't have taxable dividends, interest, realized gains, etc, yet the reports show these values.
Also, the dividend totals within the same report are totally different. For example, the summation amount is $5000. However, when I select the $5000 to look at the individual amounts, it doesn't add up to $5000.

By default the Investment Income report shows all investment income, whether or not it is taxable.
If you want to see only taxable income, you can click on the gear to customize the report and on the Accounts tab, de-select your retirement accounts.
Or you could use the Tax Summary report, which by default excludes accounts that are marked Tax deferred.
When drilling down in the report, it opens an Investment Transaction report. I don't see any differences between the summary numbers and the rightmost column, labelled "Cash + Invest" in the drill-down report. If that column is not displayed, click on the gear to customize the report and under Show Columns, check the Cash + invest box. Sometimes the columns get messed up; clicking on Reset or Reset columns should fix that.
