Online Update Delays

I'm no longer sure of the point of the Password Vault. I used to be able to start my my update and walk away and accomplish things while my transactions downloaded. Now I have to sit there and babysit the thing while the program plays the daily Security Theater routine and makes me login multiple times to multiple accounts requesting and receiving multiple codes, a good portion of which never arrive. I bought this thing to make my life easier, but now I spend as much time on it as I would a regular checkbook.

Are you noticing these repeated login prompts and verification code requests for all of your financial institutions or only certain ones? Have you recently changed any account settings, passwords, or enabled new security features such as two-factor authentication on those accounts? When you mention that some verification codes never arrive, is that consistently happening with specific institutions, or is it more random?

Lastly, has your internet connection or antivirus/security software changed recently, possibly interfering with Quicken's communication with your financial institutions?

I'm no longer sure of the point of the Password Vault.

The Password Vault is only for Direct Connect, which never has any the "codes" and such.

With Express Web Connect the username and passwords are stored on the Intuit server (which is Quicken Inc's aggregator). And for Express Web Connect Intuit uses a rotating security token so there isn't any username/password/secondary authorization.

Note that since Express Web Connect with its username/password is Intuit's servers logging in as you on the financial institution's website, which means that it has to go through the same log in security you would if you were logging in, complicating everything a lot.
