Why are downloaded transactions from 3/24/2023 to 4/22/2025 tagged with "entered manually not yet ma

  1. These transactions are valid why are the tagged with "entered manually, not yet matched"?
  2. How do I fix this problem.

Background: one day in January 2025 my Fidelity account stopped downloading so I re-started it.
That's when this issue started.

Exactly where are you seeing that "tag"? Because that verbiage, if in the tag field MUST have been something that you input … no such terminology pre-exists in Q.

Also, are you saying that prior to January 2025, this verbiage didn't exist … that it was retroactively applied back to 2023?

And, what value is in the CLR column for these transactions?

@chuckf201 I think I may have an idea of what you are seeing. @NotACPA hopefully you won't mind me jumping in here to help clarify.

Is this similar to what you are seeing -

I think what this means is that the transaction hasn't been matched to a downloaded transaction from Fidelity.

@CaliQkn I'd never seen that before …but the salient point is that you're showing a future dated transaction. Today is 5/3, but the reminder is 5/7 … so OF COURSE it hasn't downloaded yet.

The "fix" is to wait for the future to come to be.

Also, I'll note that such isn't appearing in Q's "tag" field, thus my prior reply. It looks like it might be in the Status field.

This is the normal "tip" from the status column for any manually entered transaction (uncleared).

@NotACPA this message will show up for any manually entered transaction that hasn't been matched to a downloaded transaction and/or reconciled [R] regardless of date. I just happen to pick a pending transaction out of my account register.

@chuckf201 what this means is that your transactions dated from 3/23/2023 to 4/22/2025 haven't been matched to a downloaded transaction and reconciled with an [R]. This could be a result of you restoring or reactivating your account. If the account is reconciled and is in balance, all you need to do is update the transactions with an [R] and the tags will go away.

@Chris_QPW mine all say "Bill reminder" because they are transactions created from reminder transactions.

Note that the Status column is hidden in investment accounts if you don't have automatic transaction entry mode on, that is why @NotACPA isn't seeing this.

@Chris_QPW that is true. For non-investment account you can add the Status column independently of how you are downloading transactions. But, for investment account the Status column shows only when you change the download mode to "Automatic".

@chuckf201 - hopefully all of this is making sense. The main thing is that those tags will dissapear once you put an R in the reconcile column.

    @NotACPA sorry for jumping in.
