quicken continues to duplicate transactions from Charles Schwab. it makes using quicken almost worthless for investing. I have reported this to quicken multiple times and it just continues to happen.

    Hello @James Koski,

    Thanks for reaching out!

To help us get a clearer picture and move things forward, can you share a bit more about what you’re seeing? For example, are the duplicates appearing as exact copies, or do they differ slightly in any fields like memo, date, or amount? Does this happen with all transaction types or only certain ones, like dividends or buys/sells? Have you noticed if the duplicates come in during every update, or only after specific actions like restoring a backup or resetting the account? Also, is this happening across multiple Schwab accounts or just one?

    Let me know!

I am also having the same issue. It's occurring with every transaction type (buy, sell, dividend, interest income). It seems like every time simplifi downloads from schwab it just adds another transaction and doesn't merge with an existing transaction. I just went through and deleted 33 copies of a sell transaction.

    Thanks for joining this thread.

Just to clarify, are you experiencing this issue with Simplifi or Quicken Classic?

the transactions are downloaded transactions from Schwab. these are new transactions on that date.

I have been seeing a similar issue for at least a couple of months. Often, buy/sell transactions get duplicated… with slightly different amounts - sometimes dropping out a commission fee that was bogus in the first download. Second download happens as soon as later the same day.

    Hello @rlfisher,

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing a similar issue. Have you done the troubleshooting that I recommended in my earlier post? If you haven't, that's a good place to start when encountering issues with duplicate transactions.

Based on your description of the issue you're seeing, it sounds like the different amounts may be causing Quicken to see these as new transactions. To verify if the information is being sent that way by Schwab, or if something is happening after Quicken receives the information, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached. Please make sure to provide at least 3 examples of duplicated transactions that are showing different amounts (Date, Payee, and Amount).

I look forward to your reply!
