Why doesn't Quicken have an Excel to QIF converter add-in?

There's only one company out there that has an Excel to QIF converter (Big Red Consulting) and their annual subscription fee is more than the Quicken subscription fee. My 401(k) plan has never been administered through a company that allows you to import transactions directly into Quicken or download an importable file. I've always had to download the transactions to Excel and convert to a QIF file in order to import the transactions into Quicken. This seems like something Quicken should make available as part of its base subscription fee. It's frustrating and a ripoff to have to pay a 3rd party to do something Quicken should do. I'm running Windows 11.

Q doesn't have one because what would be the financial advantage to Q of such?

BUT, a former SuperUser has created one.

@HooversATX there is another one available with a subscription - ProperConvert. I don't know what the cost is, but I think their subscription plans are described on their website.

BTW, It is FREE and works great, I use it for most of my accounts since I don't use EWC or EWC+ download methods, only Direct Connect..
