Loan amount incorrect and I cannot edit principle and interest in the fields on Mac

I have two problems.

1- When I enter the amounts for loan, the amounts are not correct.

2- I cannot adjust the principle and interest boxes to fix it.

I have tried to enter loans several times for the years I have had Quicken for Mac and it has not been correct. I've spent a lot of time trying to fix it on different accounts, but alway give up. Since my mortgage was just transfered, I want it to be accurate. I found the discussion below, which focuses on the first problem, the incorrect amount. However, if I could enter the loan and principle, second problem, I would be able to fix the amounts myself. I have installed upgrades.

How can I fix that the principle and interest boxes are not editable?

    Hello @Kathleen80,

    Thanks for reaching out!

While you can't edit the loan principal and interest from the Bills & Income section, you can edit loan details by going to the loan account in your Quicken and clicking Edit Loan and Payment Terms (located under the account name).

You can read more about this and add your vote to this feature request regarding the ability to edit the principal and interest fields.

    I hope this helps!

The screenshot from @Quicken Jasmine above is for Quicken Windows, but this is a case where Quicken Mac has the same functionality: click "Edit Loan and Payment Terms" on the loan register page.

Thank you for pointing that out, I have revised my picture and terms to reflect the correct platform.
