Ally Invest Downloads

I have called twice trying to get Ally Invest transactions into Quicken and each time have gotten different answer that from support. Now they are telling me the issue is Ally not Quicken, however, [Removed - 3rd party software] download all of my accounts without an issue. The issue seems to be related to the Quicken \ Ally connection. How can we escalate this to the developers for resolution. I am ready to cancel my subscription and ask for my money back.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. Unfortunately, Ally Bank currently only supports transaction download for checking and savings accounts. See this article for more details:

    If this is true, then how are the other personal finance software mentioned (and removed) are able to download Ally Investment information? It seems that Ally supports it but Quicken doesn't.

    Hello @tnjpatton,

    Thanks for the follow-up — your frustration is completely understandable.

    Other personal finance apps may be pulling Ally Invest data using different aggregation methods, some of which don’t rely on the same secure and formal connection protocols Quicken uses. Quicken requires a direct agreement and technical integration with financial institutions for investment downloads, and currently, Ally hasn’t enabled that support for investment accounts through our channels.

    We know this is frustrating, especially when it seems like it should work. If anything changes on Ally’s end or a supported connection becomes available, we’ll be sure to update users.

    In the meantime, if you’d like help manually importing your transactions, I’m happy to assist.
