R63.19 seems to have broken all spending reports

I don't see that problem, what date ranges are you seeing for the reports?
Maybe the update messed with your default date range. You should be able to set the default range by going to Edit > Preferences > Reports and Graphs. I use Yearly.

I have more information. It is broken if your Quicken file is on a network share. It works for local files.
Yes, Quicken has long warned about poor performance if your file is on a network share. I've used it that way for years without issues with reports. It was initially sluggish because it doesn't seem to load the entire data file unless it needs to. Once loaded and cached, it works normally.
The new reporting code seems to have broken that. It's terribly broken if used on the network copy. If I copy that file to my desktop and open it there, it works fine.
Yes, I'll hear lots of lectures about how Quicken isn't designed for use on a network, but this is a change for the worse.

Out of curiosity I tried this from one Windows machine to another and I'm not seeing what you are describing.
Maybe there is a performance problem with your network or network storage or maybe it just has to do with the underline protocol your network storage is using.
That is fundamentally why Quicken Inc isn't going to support network drives. It might look like a drive, but under the hood it can be many different protocols, not to mention networks that aren't very reliable or such.
And yes, Quicken is optimized to only load the parts of the file it needs at a given point, and expect "disk level performance" when reading in that data. Which also means that nothing can "lock" the data file when it wants access to it.

When you say "I get nothing" do you get a blank screen as if it is hung up, or do you get something that looks like this, indicating that the report worked but nothing matched its criteria?

The dialog opens but the list of categories is blank. There is an outline where the different categories should be listed but the individual lines are blank. I also find it wierd that, when used on the local file, each category has a drop-down with itself as a subcategory.
I acknowledge that there may be a performance problem on my network. The network is wired Gb between the computer and the NAS. hardware is all Ubiquiti and new, so the hardware itself should not be an issue. (Why, oh why, have I been using 3 generation-old used crap from eBay all these years?) But the Ethernet terminations in each room are potentially flawed.
I intend to install Docker on the NAS to run iperf3 between the NAS and the computer, but that's an entirely new process for me and will require time and research to accomplish.
