This is new - Citi Bank Visa Downloading $0 Interest Transactions

Is anyone else seeing this?
Stating in April, I've been getting $0 interest transactions from my Citi Bank Visa account (Best Buy Card). There have been two each month. One for Cash Advances and on for Purchases.

It's not wrong. I don't owe interest, but for the last forever years, there were never downloaded interest transactions when there were no interest charges. Not a Quicken issue. Just unnecessary transactions creating clutter.

I get similar zero dollar "Account Maintenance Fee" transactions from Bank of America.

Of course you can reduce clutter by deleting those transactions rather than accepting them.

Thanks. I saw something like that from BOA about a year ago, "Preferred Rewards-monthly Fee Waiver Of $12". Like a reminder that the cost is really $12 but I'm currently getting it waived (until I'm not).
I no longer have accounts there (but it's not related to these transactions).

I deleted the $0 interest transactions after taking the screen shot.

I think they want us to get used to seeing those types of transactions. They hope we'll eventually get so used to them that when they start charging those fees, we might be less likely to notice them. My corporate conspires theory is nothing is done without a purpose. My favorite one is that I think 'accidental' small charges on utility, wireless, or internet bills are done on purpose. Most people won't notice them and if they do, they are too small to bother calling to get them removed. If you do call, they will quickly take care of it, but the credit won't show up for several billing cycles. The goal being they can tweak their quarterly revenue to meet projected numbers. A small error when there are millions of customers could move the needle. Just my own little conspiracy theory with no evidence - just the thought that it could actually work.
