Reconcile Shares - Mis-match in number of shares, but Reconcile Shares says they match

Options

I have a Schwab investment account, and some of the security share counts do not match. It looks like the dividends they were rolled in did not register in Quicken. When I try "Reconcile Shares", it returns the message "Your Quicken account, and your Brokerage Holdings are in agreement". But they are not. When I look in Schwab, I have 58.8002 shares, and in Quicken, I have 58.539. Not a big difference, but taken across multiple securities, it adds up to a 2% difference. Again, not a lot, but enough to be annoying. I have tried this multiple times over the course of a few months, and the differences remain constant.

@Dan Prichard your shares in Quicken are reconciled with the share amount reported by Schwab in the update file. So what that means is that the Schwab update file doesn't agree with what your Schwab account shows. Quicken is reconciling properly with the information being given. It is Schwab that is out of balance.

@Dan Prichard Are you using Quicken Mac or Quicken windows? You posted your question in a Mac category, but Quicken Mac does not have a Reconcile Share feature (although such a feature has been marked as "Planned" by the developers in the Ideas section). We can have a moderator move this to Quicken Windows if that's what you are using.
